Yield:
8 slices

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 tablespoon sugar

  • 2 teaspoon vanilla

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

  • ½ teaspoon orange zest (optional)

  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

  • 2 tablespoon butter

  • Maple-flavor syrup (optional)

Directions

  2. In a skillet or on a griddle melt 1 Tbsp. of the butter over medium heat. Add half of the bread slices; cook 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden. Remove from skillet. Repeat with remaining butter and bread slices. Serve warm. If desired, serve with syrup.
